Ohio State Tops Oregon State For Third In East & West Match Play

Ann Arbor, Mich. – The Ohio State women’s golf team topped Oregon State, 3-2, for third place at the East & West Match Play Challenge Tuesday at Radrick Farms Golf Course in Ann Arbor, Mich.
Senior Jaclyn Lee took the lead on the seventh hole and didn’t look back as she topped Susie Cavanagh, 5&3. Freshman Lauren Peter was able to take the lead on the fifth hole and defeated Olivia Benzin, 3&1, while Alanis Sakuma’s match with Nicole Schroeder was forfeited by the Beavers.
After defeating UC Davis’ Hannah Sun, 3&2, yesterday, junior Adeena Shears won the individual title over Michigan’s Hannah Ghelfi, 1-up, Tuesday. Lee also took home the stroke-play championship through 36 holes at 4-under Sunday.
