A native of Kent, Ohio, Kayla Fischer comes to Columbus with eight years of club experience, including the last three at Cleveland FC. A Top 11 player at Nationals for the national semifinalists in 2018, the forward was a two-time all-state selection at Theodore Roosevelt High School.
“I’m leaning toward a health science major because I’d like to do something in a medical profession after I graduate.”
“I’ve always wanted to play at a big school and in the Big Ten. I love the facilities at Ohio State and the coaching staff has been great.”
“This year, I just want to grow into this team and help to develop a strong chemistry together.”
“I think I can immediately bring a positive energy to our team. It’s easy to help pick your teammates up and that’s important to me from the start.”
“The rest of this preseason, I really need to continue to improve on my first touch and my ability to move off the ball.”
