
Keita Bates-Diop Earns Second B1G Player of the Week Honor

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Keita Bates-Diop has been named the Big Ten Player of the Week, the second award for the redshirt junior this season.
Last week, Bates-Diop averaged 29.5 points and 10 rebounds in wins at Iowa and vs. No. 1 Michigan State.
Against the Hawkeyes, Bates-Diop tied a then-career high with 27 points while grabbing a game-high 13 rebounds. He followed that effort with a career-high 32 points in a win over the No. 1 ranked Spartans, 80-64, Sunday.
For the year, Bates-Diop is leading the Buckeyes and the Big Ten in scoring with 20 points a game. He is shooting 53 percent from the field (126-240) and 82 percent from the foul line (55-67) while also leading the team in blocked shots with 27.
Ohio State is back in action at 7 p.m. Thursday at home vs. Maryland.
