
Martin Named B1G Gymnast of the Week After Stellar All-Around Performance

Columbus, Ohio – Redshirt senior Jake Martin is making the most of his fifth and final year competing for the Buckeyes. The conference offices announced Monday afternoon that Martin was the B1G Gymnast of the Week.
The Floridian excelled in the all-around winning his second title of 2017 with a score of 85.250. His score of 85.250 is the fifth-best in the nation this season. He truly shined on the high bar acing his routine with the third-highest score in the nation (14.850) to win that event.
Martin also placed third on the pommel horse (14.400) and parallel bars (14.350) in his final home meet at St. John Arena.
This is the second time in 2017 and fourth time in his career that Martin has received this award.
The Buckeyes will head to Penn State on Saturday (Feb. 11) for a dual meet with the Nittany Lions at 4 p.m. ET.
