
Buckeyes Conclude Fall Schedule with 14th-Place Finish at Battle at the Beach

CABO SAN LUCAS, Mexico – The Ohio State women’s golf team finished 14th after a final-round 303 at the Battle at the Beach Sunday afternoon at Club Campestre San Jose Golf Course in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Niki Schroeder finished in a tie for 38th place to lead the Buckeyes, making a trio of birdies for a final-round 74. Adeena Shears also fired a 74, tying for her career-low round, to tie for 68th with fellow Buckeye Rio Watanabe, who tied for the team lead with three birdies on the day but shot a final-round 78.
Jaclyn Lee also shot a 7-over 78 Sunday but was the second-best Buckeye finisher for the three-day event, sitting in a tie for 55th. Alanis Sakuma wrapped up the event, carding a 6-over 77 to tie for 65th while Sofia Seldemirova finished in a tie for 81st after a final round 83.
