
Ohio State Fencers Set to Compete in Hometown North American Cup

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Members of the Ohio State fencing team will compete in USA Fencing’s January North American Cup hosted in Columbus, Ohio. The competition will take place from Jan. 6-9 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center beginning at 8 a.m. each day.
A COLUMBUS FIRST
The January North American Cup is the first USA Fencing North American Cup hosted in Columbus. The event serves as a major tournament in qualification for Senior World Championships in July as well as Junior and Cadet World Championships in April.
BUCKEYES REPRESENT
More than thirty Ohio State fencers will compete over the weekend. Division I competition kicks off on Friday, with two Buckeyes representing in women’s saber. On Saturday, nine Buckeyes will represent in men’s epee and women’s foil competition. Sunday will feature six Buckeyes in women’s epee and men’s foil, as well as two Ohio State teams in men’s epee. Competition will conclude on Monday, with four representatives in men’s saber. See the full list of Buckeyes competing and schedule below.
