The Buckeyes will get their first crack at the milestone 6:35 p.m. Friday vs. Northwestern at Bill Davis Stadium.

Eight members of the Ohio State wrestling team are headed to New York City for the 2016 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships at Madison Square Garden. The event begins Thursday at noon ET starting with preliminary action and will conclude at 8 p.m. ET Saturday with the finals.
ESPN is set to televise the semifinals (March 18) and finals (March 19) in prime time and ESPNU will air the first and second rounds (March 17), quarterfinals (March 18) and medal round (March 19).
Ohio State boasts three wrestlers who earned top-five seeds in Nathan Tomasello, Bo Jordan and Kyle Snyder. Tomasello, a 125-pounder from Parma, Ohio, earned the No. 1 seed after securing his second Big Ten title on March 6. The defending national champion, Tomasello is 22-0 on the season and has won 40 straight matches. Jordan, a redshirt sophomore, was a Big Ten finalist on March 6 and is 16-2 on the season. Snyder captured his first-ever Big Ten title when he topped No. 1 seed Adam Coon of Michigan in the 285-pound final. He is 6-0 on the year. Overall, six Buckeyes are seeded in their respective weight classes.

Ohio State has played in more games in the Big Ten tournament (29) than any other league school since Thad Matta took over in Columbus 12 years ago.
The Buckeyes have the most wins (22) with the next closest being Michigan State with 16. Ohio State’s winning percentage of .759 (22-7) since 2005 also tops all league schools.

Led by its first-team All-Big Ten backcourt, women’s basketball is on pace to smash the school’s single-season scoring record of 83.2 PPG set by the program’s only Final Four team of 1992-93.
The Buckeyes have scored 2,551 points through 29 games this season (88.0 PPG).
By comparison, Katie Smith and company totaled 2,662 points in 32 games (28-4) on their way to an NCAA runner-up finish in 1992-93.
