10. 2015 Mat Madness
Sparked by Logan Stieber’s fourth-consecutive individual title, my wrestling Bucks won the first team national championship in school history. You better believe I was there to see the hardware when they got home!
9. Blast from the Past
As part of my 50th birthday celebration this season, I was reunited with the original me from 1965. I felt like Marty McFly!
8. Eight is Great
Talk about a magical ride! My Buckeyes had one of the most memorable three-game stretches in college football history en route to claiming the first College Football Playoff National Championship Trophy in 2014.
7. Lucky Seven
Tempe was good to me! I’ll never forget Ohio State football’s 2002 season and celebrating our seventh national championship in the desert.
6. Where’s Brutus?
I’m everywhere… LITERALLY! Around 40 statues were constructed of ME sporting various attires in 2008. You’ll find many scattered across campus and Columbus.
5. The CHAMP is HERE
This trophy is in prime position on my mascot mantle! I hoisted the hardware in 2015 as the Universal Cheerleaders Association Division I College Mascot National Champion.
4. Corso’s First
ESPN’s Lee Corso donned a replica of my head on the set of College GameDay in 1996. Who knew it would kick start the Mascot Madness in the fall that continues today!
3. Hall of Famer!
Largest gold bust ever, right! I was inducted into the Mascot Hall of Fame back in 2007.
2. Dancin’ Debut: My First Game
With the support of the Ohio Staters, Inc. student service organization, my “parents” students Ray Bourhis and Sally Lanyon constructed a papier-mâché mascot for the Homecoming game against Minnesota on Oct. 30, 1965.
1. 50th Birthday Bash
More than 108,000 of my closest friends celebrated my golden birthday on Nov. 7, 2015. The moment that takes the CAKE was the Best Fans in the Land singing “Happy Birthday” to me at halftime of the 28-14 win vs. Minnesota … THANK YOU!
