Buckeyes Earn No. 6 Seed in Big Ten Tournament – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio -No. 23 Ohio State has earned the No. 6 seed in the 2015 Big Ten Tournament and will play the winner of the matchup between No. 11 seed Minnesota and No. 14 seed Rutgers. The Buckeyes’ opener is slated for approximately 9 p.m. ET Thursday at the United Center in Chicago. The game will be televised on ESPN2.
The Buckeyes, who tallied a 22-9 record, 11-7 in Big Ten play, won the lone meeting against Minnesota, 74-72, in overtime in Minneapolis Jan. 6. Ohio State leads the overall series with the Gophers 82-56.
Ohio State earned a 79-60 win at Rutgers Feb. 8 in the only matchup between the two teams this season. Ohio State and Rutgers, who were meeting for the first time as Big Ten Conference members earlier this year, met once previously, a 97-96 win for the Scarlet Knights Dec. 30, 1978 at Madison Square Garden in NewYork.
