Ohio State Posts 194.775 in Tri-Meet with No. 17 Denver and Air Force – Ohio State Buckeyes

DENVER, Colo. – The Ohio State women’s gymnastics team tallied a 194.775 in a tri-meet at No. 17 Denver with Air Force. The Buckeyes finished second behind Denver’s 196.500 and ahead of Air Force’s 193.450.
The Buckeyes opened the meet with a 48.700 on uneven bars. Tenille Funches tied her season-best 9.825 to tie for second on the event.
Ohio State moved to balance beam in the second rotation, tallying a 48.200. Taylor Harrison posted a career-high 9.875 to tie for third.
After two rotations, Ohio State sat second with a 96.900.
The Buckeyes then earned a 48.850 on floor exercise in the third rotation. Alexis Mattern tallied a 9.850 and Harrison posted a 9.825.
Ohio State wrapped up the meet with a 49.025 on vault. Harrison posted a team-high 9.850 while Mattern earned a 9.825.
Harrison finished with a career-best 39.300 to finish second in the all-around.
The Buckeyes travel to Nebraska for the Big Ten Quad at 1 p.m. March 14.
