The annual homecoming game has arrived and the 2015 version welcomes Maryland to the hallowed Horseshoe for the first time in the Terrapins’ 123 seasons of football. The Buckeyes and Terps are set for a noon kickoff on BTN, but the festivities begin well before toe meets leather.
Don’t miss the parade Friday, starting at 6 p.m. at The Shoe and concluding at the Ohio Union. View a full university homecoming slate: www.homecoming.osu.edu. Of course, be sure to be in your seats prior to kickoff Saturday for the homecoming ceremony to crown this year’s king and queen.
With it being the first noon game of the season, here is a review of pregame schedule outside the stadium:
- 9 a.m. – FanFest on the south lawn of St. John Arena opens
- 9:30 a.m. – Buckeye Walk begins with the football team at the Blackwell
- 10 a.m. – Skull Session begins (doors open at 8 a.m.)
Yowie? What’s a Yowie?
If you don’t know, you’ll be sure to when you set foot into The Shoe Saturday as 90,000 pink Yowees will swathe across Ohio Stadium.
You can wear it on your head. Wrap it on your arm. Scarf perhaps? Maybe pose as a bandit in a pink bandana? It’s up to you, but The James OSU Cancer Hospital is supplying your Yowie to help raise awareness for breast cancer research.
Be sure to be in your seats for the conclusion of the halftime show by TBDBITL as this year’s Salute Your Survivor winners are recognized. View photos from the contest: http://bit.ly/Kroger_PhotoContest
