COLUMBUS, Ohio — Francesca Di Lorenzo, a freshman on the Ohio State women’s tennis team and New Albany, Ohio, native, advanced to the Round of 16 at the 2015 Riviera/ITA Women’s All-American Championships with a win over the No. 4 seed Thursday. The tournament is being held at the Riviera Tennis Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif.
In the first round of the 32-player main draw, Di Lorenzo lost just two games in her win over fifth-ranked Josie Kuhlman of Florida, 6-2, 6-0.
In the round of 16 at 2:45 p.m. ET Friday, Di Lorenzo will take on Ellen Perez, who is ranked 29th and reached the main draw through qualifying.
