Pogacar Knocking On Door of Top-10 at Landfall Tradition – Ohio State Buckeyes

WILMINGTON, N.C. – On a day which saw the vast majority of scores inflate at the Landfall Tradition, Ohio State’s Katja Pogacar was contrarian and actually shaved a stroke off of her opening-round 73 by carding a 72 in round number two. At 1-over for the tournament, Pogacar is tied for 11th place overall on the individual leaderboard with 18 holes to play.
After racking up 15 pars in the opening round, Pogacar added 14 more in her second trip around the course. Those 29 pars are tied for the most in the entire field. She is just two shots back from the top-5 and four shy of second place.
Freshman Jaclyn Lee (+7) is in the top half of the standings as well, tied for 38th place. She followed up a 73 by shooting 78 on Saturday. Rio Watanabe rebounded from a rough first day to post a 75 on Day Two, and ascend 20 slots in the individual standings. She enters the final round tied for 60th.
Jessica Porvasnik and Lina Aguillon are also donning the Scarlet & Gray down in North Carolina. Porvasnik has contributed to the team tally in both rounds, registering scores of 79-78 (+13) for a share of 72nd place. Aguillon has gone 78-81 (+15) and is tied for 79th place.
