No. 21 Ohio State Notches Season-High 195.900 Against No. 15 Minnesota – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 21 Ohio State women’s gymnastics team posted another team season best in a 196.025-195.900 loss to No. 15 Minnesota. The meet will be televised at 7:30 p.m. Sunday on BTN.
Ohio State opened the meet with a 49.025 on vault. Melanie Shaffer tied her career best with a 9.900 to tie for first on the event while Sarah Miller notched a 9.825 to tie for third.
In the second rotation, the Buckeyes tallied a season-high 49.125 on uneven bars. Victoria Aepli tied her career-high 9.875 for the event title and Shaffer and Sarah Grady each notched a 9.825 to tie for second. The 9.825 marked a career best on bars for Grady.
After two rotations, Ohio State led Minnesota, 98.150-97.850.
The Buckeyes moved to balance beam in the third rotation and posted a 48.775. Miller tallied a season-high 9.900 for a first-place finish while Maggie Dunn posted a 9.800 to tie for third.
Ohio State finished the meet on floor exercise with a 48.975. Shaffer took the event with a season-high 9.950.
Shaffer tied her career-high 39.400 to win the all-around title.
The Buckeyes travel to Iowa at 8 p.m. Feb. 14.
