IOWA CITY, Iowa – The No. 20 Ohio State women’s gymnastics team defeated Iowa, 195.275-195.075, Friday evening at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Ohio State opened the meet on bars and posted a 48.875. Victoria Aepli tied her career-best 9.875 to tie for the event title.
The Buckeyes then moves to vault and notched a 48.925. Sarah Miller led Ohio State with a 9.825 to tie for second while Tenille Funches posted a 9.800.
Ohio State moved to floor exercise and tallied a 48.650. Melanie Shaffer tied for the event title with a 9.850.
The Buckeyes finished the meet on beam with a 48.825. Shaffer finished second with a team-best 9.800.
Shaffer finished second in the all-around with a 39.200.
The Buckeyes take on Illinois at 3 p.m. ET Feb. 23 in Champaign.
