All-American Lauren Nicholson has consistently been a top competitor on the Buckeye synchronized swimming team. Last season, Nicholson, a native of Riverside, Calif., and an exercise science education major helped guide the Ohio State Scarlet Team to a runner-up finish at the U.S. Senior National Championships and finished in the Top 5 in the trio competition with teammates Chelsea Aton and Paige Ramsey at the U.S. Collegiate Championships. With the 2014 season just underway – the Buckeyes resume competition at 4 p.m. Feb. 1 at the Jessica Beck Memorial Meet in McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion – Nicholson and the Buckeyes are primed to make a run at the U.S. Collegiate title.
Student Life
Do you prefer the Oval in the Fall or Spring (or maybe the Winter)? The spring because the weather is warm and everyone is outside
Where is the best place to sit for lectures? In the middle about seven rows back. It depends on the classroom though.
Why did you choose to major in exercise science education? I am interested in sports and how our body functions and act when we exercise.
If you were the University President for a day, what would you do? I would have everyone get a random week off a school.
Describe your first day as a student at The Ohio State University – I remember thinking there were a million people walking everywhere and I was amazed I was part of them.
