Athlete of the Week
Senior forward Tiffany Cameron scored three goals last week, including game-winners against No. 13 Missouri Thursday and Duquesne Sunday as the Ohio State women’s soccer team moved to 5-2-0 on the season. The Mississauga, Ontario, native leads the Buckeyes and is tied for fourth in the Big Ten with six goals this season.

The No. 23 Buckeyes faced Miami (Ohio) in their home opener onSept. 9. Ohio State fell to Miami (Ohio), 2-1, at Buckeye VarsityField.
No. 14 Football (2-0)
Head coach: Urban Meyer
Ohio State defeated UCF, 31-16, at Ohio Stadium on Sept. 8.Sophomore quarterback Braxton Miller had a career performance in the win. He tied hiscareer-high in completions with 18, rushed for a career-high threetouchdowns, and rushed for 141 yards overall to go over 1,000rushing yards in his career. Head coach Urban Meyer has improved to 36-4 in September.
Women’s Golf

Senior Rachel Rohanna advanced to the second stage of LPGA Qualifyingafter recording a 72-hole score of 5-under 283. The second stage ofthe LPGA Qualifying Tournament will take place Oct. 9-12, atPlantation Golf and Country Club in Venice, Fla.

Ohio State dropped a 2-0 decision to San Diego on Sept. 7 inthe first of two weekend games taking place in San Diego, Calif.The Buckeyes returned to action on Sept. 9, defeating San DiegoState, 2-1, at the San Diego Sports Deck.

Ohio State defeated No. 13 Missouri at Jesse Owens MemorialStadium on Sept. 6, as Tiffany Cameron’s goal 24 seconds into overtime propelled theBuckeyes to a 1-0 victory. The Buckeyes returned to action on Sept.9, defeating Duquesne, 3-0. The team recorded its fifth consecutiveshutout in the win. Ohio State has now defeated two ranked teamsthis season and is currently undefeated at home.
Women’s Volleyball (8-1)
Head coach: Geoff Carlston
The Buckeyes upset No. 10 Dayton, 3-2, on the first day of theWKU Tournament on Sept. 7. Ohio State also defeated IUPUI, 3-1, onSept. 7 before defeating Western Kentucky, 3-1, on Sept. 8 to winits second-straight tournament title. Senior Mari Hole was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player whilejunior Kaitlyn Leary also earned a spot on the All-Tournament team.
