Today’s #FF is Ohio State men’s tennis who advanced to the third round of the NCAA Division I Men’s Tennis Championships for the seventh-consecutive season and open with a match vs. Florida at noon: OhioState_MTEN
The Buckeyes enter the Round of 16 as the No. 5 seed with a 33-3 overall record. The squad reached the third round after a pair of 4-0 wins vs. East Tennessee State and Notre Dame in the first and second rounds last week in Columbus.
In NCAA action, under 13th-year head coach Ty Tucker, the Buckeyes have compiled a 31-12 record, advancing as far as the final in 2009 and reaching the semifinals last season and the quarterfinals in 2004, ’06, ’07, ’08 and ’10. Tucker has coached 17 singles and 10 doubles NCAA championships participants. Under the helm of Tucker, Ohio State has qualified for 13 consecutive NCAA tournaments.
