Buckeyes Conclude Bryan National Collegiate in Tie for Fourth – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Totaling 892 on the par 72, 6,323-yard Players Course at the Bryan Park Golf and Enrichment Center in Greensboro, N.C., the No. 26 Ohio State women’s golf team concluded the competitive Bryan National Collegiate in a tie for fourth. Tying with North Carolina, the Buckeyes fired a final round of 301 and were three strokes back from a top 3 finish.
Leading the 17-team field, which included 13 teams in the top 50, was Tennessee with a team score of 882. Tied with Duke at the conclusion of round three, both squads entered in a playoff which Tennessee won after making four pars on hole No. 18. Lindy Duncan of Duke took medalist honors by a two-stroke margin with a mark of 4-under 212.
Carding an even 54-hole total of 216, junior Rachel Rohanna led the Buckeyes for the third-consecutive day. The Waynesburg, Pa., product notched a final round of 75 to finish in a tie for third.
Also finding a spot in the top 20 was junior captain Amy Meier who tallied three birdies en route to a final score of 73. Meier, from Rochester Hills, Mich., finished in a tie for 13th at 222.
Freshman Kendall Prince added a round of 78 for a total of 227 to conclude the tournament in a tie for 35th.
With totals of 231, the Buckeye duo of freshman Claudia Lim and junior Susana Benavides tied for 50th. Lim fired a mark of 79, while Benavides earned her lowest round of the tournament with a 75.
Individual competitor senior Vicky Villanueva finished tied for 40th at 227 after a day three score of 74.
The Buckeyes will conclude regular season play when they host their own Lady Buckeye Invitational April 21-22 in Columbus.
