Buckeyes in Fourth After Two Rounds at the Bryan National Collegiate – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Shaving three strokes for a team score of 294, the No. 26 Ohio State women’s golf team is in fourth place at the Bryan National Collegiate. After 36 holes, the Buckeyes total 591 on the par 72, 6,323-yard Players Course at the Bryan Park Golf and Enrichment Center in Greensboro, N.C.
Leading the 17-team field is Tennessee with a total of 584. Three student-athletes, including Ohio State’s own Rachel Rohanna, currently sit in a tie for first with a 3-under 141.
Rohanna, from Waynesburg, Pa., fired a 2-under 70 in the second round to put her in medalist contention. The junior fired four birdies throughout the day and only slipped with bogeys on her last two holes.
Tied for 21st is the Buckeye pair of freshman Kendall Prince and junior captain Amy Meier. Each totaling 149, Prince carded a 75, while Meier notched a 74 in round two.
Tallying back-to-back birdies on holes No. 2 and 3, freshman Claudia Lim is tied for 39th at 152 after a day two mark of 75.
Junior Susana Benavides improved by four strokes and added a round of 76 to total 152 and place her in a tie for 65th.
Senior Vicky Villanueva, Ohio State’s individual competitor, is currently tied for 49th at 154 after scores of 78 and 76.
The third and final round of the Bryan National Collegiate will take place tomorrow with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
