Buckeyes in the Big Ten Tournament
William Buford has been a part of three teams who have played for a Big Ten Conference postseason tournament title. Two of those teams have claimed the championship (2010, 2011). The 2009 team fell to Purdue in the title tilt. Buford, in nine BTT games, averages 14.3 points and has averaged 40.4 minutes per game. Ohio State needed double overtime to down Illinois in 2010 and single overtime to defeat Northwestern in 2011. Sophomore Aaron Craft averaged 11 points while shooting 58 percent from the field (11-19) last year. Classmate Jared Sullinger contributed 16.3 points and 14.0 rebounds a season ago in wins against Northwestern, Michigan and Penn State. Most of his points came at the foul line where he made 25 of 38 attempts.
