Ohio State Moves Up to Conclude Mountain View Collegiate in Third – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Tying for the low team score of the day with a 284, the Ohio State women’s golf team moved up three slots to conclude the Mountain View Collegiate in third. Totaling 871 at the par 72, 6,227-yard Mountain View Country Club, the squad’s third round performance and total was its lowest of the season.
With a total of 6-under 858, Texas Tech maintained its place atop the 15-team leaderboard by a seven stroke margin. At 7-under 209, Jennifer Brumbaugh of San Jose State took medalist honors after facing Northwestern’s Lauren Weaver in a playoff.
Leading the Buckeyes with a career-low total of 5-under 211 was freshman Kendall Prince. Finishing in a career-best tie for fourth, the Lake Oswego, Ore., product earned a third round score of 3-under 69 to place in the top 5.
Junior Amy Meier carded third round of 1-under 71 to finish in a tie for 23rd at 220.
Also notching an under round of 71 in day two was junior Rachel Rohanna who totaled 222 to tie for 29th.
One stroke back at 223 was junior Susana Benavides, who tied for 32nd after a final score of 75.
Rounding out the Buckeye lineup was freshman Jan Chanpalangsri, who tallied a career-low third round of 73 to finish tied for 40th at 225.
Competing as an individual, freshman Claudia Lim finished in a tie for 18th at 219. Her round three mark of 71 was the lowest of her career and her first under par.
The Buckeyes will return to action April 6-8 when they travel to Greensboro, N.C., for the Bryan National Collegiate.
