Ohio State Warm Up For Spring Season with Alumni Match – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s golf team recently traveled to West Palm Beach, Fla., for an alumni match Feb. 5 at the par 72, 6,285-yard Hobe Sound Golf Club.
The tournament, which paired current Buckeyes against Ohio State alumni, allowed the Scarlet and Gray to get a warm weather event under their belts in preparation for the upcoming spring slate.
Representing the current Buckeye roster were freshmen Kendall Prince and Jan Chanpalangsri, juniors Rachel Rohanna, Susana Benavides and Amy Meier and senior Vicky Villanueva. On the alumni side, Meg Mallon, Allison Hanna, Emma Jandel, Beth Daniel, Nicole Hage and Michelle McGann made the trip.
After a day on the links, the alumni prevailed over the Buckeyes with scores of 11.5 to 4.5, respectively. Hanna carded the lowest 18-hole score with a 1-under 71, followed by Jandel who shot an even 72.
The Buckeyes, who concluded fall play with a 48-6 record, will kick-off their spring schedule Feb. 13-15, when they travel to Palos Verdes, Calif., for the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge.
