Every Friday, OhioStateBuckeyes.com features one of the many Ohio State social media accounts to follow. The Ohio State women’s volleyball team opens up the 2012 NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Tournament today and is the #OhioState #FF: @ohiostatewvball
The Buckeyes (22-10) traveled to Lexington, Ky., to face Notre Dame (20-9) tonight at 5 p.m. ET in the first round. Host and No. 16 seed Kentucky (20-10) takes on East Tennessee State (23-12) in the first round and the winners of both matches play Saturday at 7 p.m. ET for a spot in the West Lafayette Regional, Dec. 7-8.
The selection is the fourth-straight for the Buckeyes, who have reached the Sweet 16 the past two years. Ohio State is 28-18 overall in NCAA play and has advanced to the Final Four twice (’91, ’94).
