Brutus and the Cheerleaders run for Ovarian Cancer. Chris Gillespie the president of the Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Ohio (OCAO) says: “I would like to thank you, the cheerleaders and Brutus for being a part of the 2011 Strides for Hope 5K this past Sunday. The OCAO’s s Strides for Hope 5K is held each September during national Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month to raise awareness, educate the public and to provide support to the women and families who have been touched by a diagnosis of this disease. I can’t tell you how excited people were to see members of the OSU Cheerleading Squad and Brutus at our event. It meant a lot to the survivors who were there and it meant a lot to myself and the rest of the board”.
