COLUMBUS, Ohio – Senior offensive lineman J.B. Shugarts spoke with members of the media Tuesday to preview the 2011 season. The native of Klein, Texas, is the returning right tackle for the Buckeye line, posting 23 career starts for the Scarlet and Gray. Last season, the Buckeye offense ranked in the Top 20 nationally in multiple categories, including scoring (38.77), rushing (220.08) and total offense (448.62).
Shugarts talked about his senior season, team unity, head coach Luke Fickell and the quarterback position.
“I understand this is my last year and it’s all on the line,” Shugarts said. “It’s crazy how fast it goes by, but it is great being a senior and leading and motivating other guys. We have great team unity and we want to come out and prove to people we are Ohio State – we have overcome adversity before and we will do it again.”
