Get ready for another win on and off the field versus Indiana! The Ohio State University has entered into the Environmental Protection Agency’s Game Day Challenge for the November 5th game in the Shoe. The Game Day Challenge is a national competition between 90+ institutions and their game day activities to see who can divert the most waste from the landfill, reduce the most carbon emissions, and more. Last year, Ohio State placed first for Division I – FBS in the diversion category with a 68.4% diversion rate. With the Zero Waste initiative at Ohio Stadium, the Buckeyes are on the path for another first place performance. Fans are asked to put food and fiber products (pizza boxes, popcorn boxes, coffee cups, etc) in the compost and everything else into the recycling.

For the Indiana game you can expect to see a photographer taking photographs of the program (hopefully with Brutus), WOSU is covering the zero waste effort as well, and we will see if we can do something fun with the Block O section.
