Thad Matta, head coach of the Ohio State men’s basketball team, completed the 2010-11 schedule Wednesday with the addition of Oakland University Dec. 23 (8 p.m./Big Ten Network).
The game with the Grizzlies gives the Buckeyes a record 20 home games during the 2010-11 season, Matta’s seventh in Columbus.
Ohio State will play 31 regular season games before the 2011 Big Ten Tournament March 10-13 in Indianapolis.
The first four games of the season, which count as one game against the NCAA schedule limit of 29 games, are part of the Global Sports Invitational.
The season opener is scheduled for 7 p.m. (Big Ten Network) Nov. 12 vs. North Carolina A&T. A trip to Florida Nov. 16 is followed by home games vs. UNC Wilmington (Nov. 20) and Morehead State (Nov. 23) to complete the Global Sports event.
The Buckeyes will host Walsh in an exhibition game Nov. 7 at Value City Arena.
