Incoming Freshman Claire-Louise Bode Completes Competition at U-23 World Rowing Championships – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Claire-Louise Bode, a 2010 incoming freshman for the Ohio State rowing team, finished fourth in the pair final Saturday at the Under-23 World Championships in Brest, Belarus. A native of Johannesburg, South Africa, Bode and teammate Kate Christowitz completed the race in 7:28.84.
The duo beat out Bulgaria and the Netherlands, who clocked in at 7:32.82 and 7:43.44, respectively. The United States won the gold medal, finishing in 7:14.07 with Romania following in a time of 7:14.38. Germany rounded out the Top 3 with its time of 7:23.70.
Earlier in the championships, Bode and Christowitz finished second in their preliminary heat in a time of 7:39.61 to advance to the final.
