Watch the Buckeyes in the College Cup at 4 p.m. – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio –The Ohio State women’s soccer team will be playing in its first College Cup this weekend at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C. The Buckeyes, co-champion of the Big Ten Conference and 17-4-1 on the year, will take on Notre Dame, 19-2-2 on the season and in the College Cup for the fifth consecutive year, at 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3. ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN3.com will carry the broadcast.
The second national semifinal will match Stanford, 22-0-2 on the season, and 17-6-1 Boston College. Game time is set for 6:30 p.m. with ESPNU broadcasting.
The championship game will be played Sunday at 12 noon. ESPN2 and ESPN3.com will televise/stream.
Tickets The 2010 women’s College Cup is sold out. Some single game tickets – $17 for Friday’s games and $18 for the Sunday championship game – may be available day of game at the WakeMed Soccer Park.
Rankings The rankings of the four College Cup teams, according to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll, are as follows: Stanford is the consensus No. 1 team in the nation with all 34 first-place votes; Notre Dame is ranked seventh; Ohio State is 17th; and Boston College is 18th. This is the most current NSCAA ranking and was released Nov. 9 prior to the start of the 2010 NCAA championship tournament.

- No. 17 Ohio State defeated St. Francis, 1-0 in 2OT, advanced past Dayton on PKs, defeated No. 8 Virginia, 3-2, and defeated Georgetown, 2-0;
- No. 7 Notre Dame defeated New Mexico, 3-0, No. 22 USC, 4-0, No. 3 North Carolina 4-1 & No. 6 Oklahoma State, 2-0;
- No. 1 Stanford defeated Sacramento State, 3-0, No. 19 Santa Clara, 2-1, UCLA, 3-0, and No. 11 Florida State, 5-0; and
- No. 18 Boston College defeated Boston, 2-1, No. 23 Hofstra, 3-1, No. 14 West Virginia, 4-0, and Washington, 1-0.
