Ohio State Department of Athletics Participate in Holiday Mail for Heroes Program – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State student-athletes and employees of the Ohio State Department of Athletics began the Holiday Season by participating in the American Red Cross’ fourth-annual Holiday Mail for Heroes program. More than 1,500 cards were signed by the Ohio State athletics family.
The Holiday Mail for Heroes initiative is a service project that helps bring holiday cheer to U.S. Service members, their families and veterans all over the world through the sending of personally-signed holiday cards.
With the most recent count, the women’s hockey team is pacing the student-athletes with the most signed cards at 725. The men’s hockey team has signed 650, followed by the football team’s 300.
