COLUMBUS, Ohio-The fourth member of Ohio State’s 2011 Class of recruits added his name to the roster with the submission of an NCAA National Letter of Intent Monday. LaQuinton Ross, a 6-foot-8 inch, 195-pound forward from Jackson, Miss., signed following his official visit last weekend.
Ross’ addition to the class strengthens a group of high school seniors already rated by analysts as a Top 10 class nationally.
Ross played his junior season at Life Center Academy in Burlington, N.J., where he averaged nearly 17 points and eight rebounds a game. His team finished with a 14-6 record in 2009-10.
Three others signed Nov. 10, the first day of the early signing period, which runs through Wednesday.
Point guard Shannon Scott (6-2, 165/Alpharetta, Ga), Chicago forward Sam Thompson (6-6, 190) and Trey McDonald, a 6-9, 230-pound center from Battle Creek (Mich.) High School make up Thad Matta’s latest roster additions.
