Austin McAnena Garners National, Conference Accolades

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Austin McAnena has been named the TopDrawerSoccer.com national player of the week, as well as the Big Ten offensive player of the week after leading the Ohio State men’s soccer team to a 2-2 draw with No. 1 Akron and a 2-1 win over No. 11 Michigan State last week. The Buckeyes are on a four-game unbeaten streak with three of those games coming against Top 15 opponents.- MORE –

Buckeyes Sweep Big Ten Weekly Awards
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Three members of the Ohio State field hockey team were awarded the Big Ten field hockey weekly honors, the conference office announced Monday. Junior co-captain Aisling Coyle was named Offensive Player of the Week, while junior Jenn Sciulli received Defensive Player of the Week honors and freshman Paula Pastor-Pitarque earned Freshman of the Week recognition. – MORE –

Following the events of the ZAP Fitness blog two short weeks ago, Coach Gary notified me that my blogging services would no longer be needed. I was, understandably, hurt by such assertions.
