Prahalis earns third Big Ten player of the week honor
Prahalis earns her second consecutive Player of the Week honor and her third of the season after leading Ohio State to wins over Illinois and Indiana. The sophomore averaged 23.5 points, 5.0 assists, 4.0 steals and 2.0 rebounds per game as the Buckeyes improved to 19-1 overall and 7-0 in Big Ten play. On Thursday against Illinois, Prahalis scored 24 points on 64.3 percent shooting, also with five assists, five steals and two rebounds in the 72-61 win. Against the Hoosiers on Sunday, she scored 23 points, shooting .500 from the floor, also with a pair of boards, five helpers and three steals as Ohio State recorded an 81-64 victory. – MORE –

No. 5/4 Ohio State Goes for 20th Win Thursday at Michigan With one more win, Ohio State will record its eighth-consecutive 20-win season. It would also mark the 24th of coach Jim Foster’s career, his 11th-consecutive overall and his eighth in Columbus, the most of any coach at Ohio State. Two years ago he tied Nancy Darsch, who had six 20-win seasons in 12 years as head coach from 1985-97. Buckeyes win 11th straight with 81-64 win over IU COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State keeps winning, even if those wins don’t come easily. Samantha Prahalis scored 23 points and Jantel Lavender added 20 points and 13 rebounds to lead the fifth-ranked Buckeyes past stubborn Indiana 81-64 on Sunday. – MORE –
