Buchman Announces Spirit Squads for 2009-10 Season – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio — After an exhausting final day of evaluations Monday, Ohio State spirit squad head coach Lenee Buchman and her staff announced the Scarlet and Gray squads for the 2009-10 athletics season.
In front of the watchful eye of coaches and judges, final evaluations lasted around 5 hours, judging current squad members on their cheering, tumbling and stunting abilities.
“(Assistant coach) Dana (Bumbrey) and I are very excited about the talent we have this year,” Buchman said. “Everyone did an outstanding job during the evaluations and we’re looking forward to a successful season.”
Twenty-eight members (14 guys and 14 girls) make up the Scarlet squad while a total of 19 members (11 girls, nine guys) make up this year’s Gray team. Full squads are listed below.
The squads dive right into action this weekend when the Buckeye football team welcomes the Navy Midshipmen at Noon in Ohio Stadium.
