WBK: Lavender’s 14 Points Helps USA WUG Team to Gold Medal
A monster 28-point, 18-rebound performance from Tina Charles (Connecticut / Jamaica, N.Y.) helped propel the 2009 USA Women’s World University Games Team (7-0) past a determined Russia (6-1) 83-64 and on to an undefeated gold medal at the 2009 World University Games on Saturday afternoon in Belgrade, Serbia. – MORE –

MSWM&DIV: Moore’s Bronze Leads Univ. Games Efforts COLUMBUS, Ohio – Junior diver Sean Moore won a bronze medal in the 10-meter synchronized diving competition Friday at the World University Games in Belgrade, Serbia. The medal-winning performance by Moore, a four-time NCAA All-American and the 2008 NCAA champion on the 10-meter platform, highlighted the results of the Ohio State swimmers and divers at the games. – MORE –

FB: Buckeyes Help With “Best Fans” Campaign COLUMBUS, Ohio – Four seniors on the Ohio State football team – Jake Ballard, Kurt Coleman, Jim Cordle and Anderson Russell – contributed time, effort and, most importantly, encouraging words to Buckeye Nation recently by taking part in a “Best Fans in the Land” video shoot at the office of University Marketing and Communications on Kinnear Road. – MORE –
