Buckeyes Host Cincinnati in a NCAA Championship First Round Match

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State (24-9 overall, 12-8 Big Ten, tied for fourth) women’s volleyball team received an at-large bid to the NCAA Championship and will host first and second round matches, Friday and Saturday, in St. John Arena. First round action begins at 6 p.m. Friday with the ninth-seeded and 10th-ranked California Golden Bears (18-10, 11-7 Pac-10, fourth) facing the Lipscomb Lady Bisons (28-3, 20-0 Atlantic Sun, first). The scheduled 8 p.m. match has Ohio State hosting the Cincinnati Bearcats (25-10, 12-2 Big East, tied for second). First round winners will return at 7 p.m. Saturday to play for a berth in the Gainesville (Fla.) regional semifinals. – MORE –
