Brutus Buckeye Blowout $4 sale Dec. 17 only; free women’s hoops tickets with merchandise purchases at participating outlets
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State fans have the opportunity to purchase discounted tickets to upcoming Buckeye women’s basketball and men’s hockey home games and earn vouchers for free admission to women’s basketball contests scheduled for January and February at Value City Arena.
The Brutus Buckeye Blowout Sale runs one-day only Thursday, Dec. 17 (Midnight-11:59 p.m.). Fans can purchase $4 tickets (no limit) to women’s basketball games and men’s hockey dates at Value City Arena. To purchase tickets, log on to OhioStateBuckeyes.com and enter the promotional code HOLIDAYSPECIAL when prompted.
Fans also can obtain complimentary vouchers for tickets to women’s basketball games in January and February by purchasing Ohio State merchandise at the Official Team Shop in the Jerome Schottenstein Center, the pro shop at the OSU Golf Club or any participating Ohio State merchandise outlets in Central Ohio. The voucher is good for two free admissions and must be exchanged in-person at the OSU ticket office inside the Schottenstein Center. There is no minimum purchase to qualify for the ticket vouchers.
The women’s basketball team is the five-time defending Big Ten champion and again is ranked in the national Top 10. The team features two-time reigning Big Ten Player of the Year Jantel Lavender and the 2009 Big Ten Freshman of the Year Samantha Prahalis.
The Buckeyes have eight home games in January and February, starting with a Jan. 3 date vs. Michigan at 2 p.m. The schedule rounds out with perennial Big Ten contenders Purdue (Feb. 11) and Michigan State (Feb. 21). Click to view the full schedule.
Men’s hockey reached the NCAA tournament in 2009 and is led by sophomore forward Zac Dalpe, who was drafted in the second round of the 2008 National Hockey League Entry Draft. The Buckeyes have three remaining full Friday-Saturday home series through February and the backend of a home-and-home date with Miami (Feb. 27) to conclude the regular season.
