Gray Tops Scarlet In Intrasquad – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio– The men’s gymnastics team held the Scarlet and Gray Intrasquad in St. John Arena in front of more than 40 fans, including the Ohio State woman’s gymnastics team.
Team Gray won four events, including floor, pommel horse, high bar and parallel bars, while tying Team Scarlet on high bar. Team Gray won the intrasquad, 332.9-323.3.
“Today was definitely better than last time,” Miles Avery, Ohio State men’s gymnastics head coach, said. “It is important we continue to improve each and every day. It was nice to see the women’s gymnastics team in the stands supporting us. The guys have a plan to continue to work hard over the winter break so we are ready to go in January.”
Highlighting the day of floor was senior Justin Myers scored at 14.65 on floor. On pommel horse sophomores Steven Spencer and Ty Echard scored team highs of 14.3 and 14.9 respectively.
“I thought today went great,” Mike Behles, a sophomore from Wayne, Ill., said. “We made a step in the right direction and we are getting more and more use to this environment. We have been working on improving the team atmosphere and it is growing. We want everyone to know this team has their back no matter what.”
