Big Ten Network Celebrates OhioState Day on June 16
Network to air 24 consecutive hours of Buckeye programming
CHICAGO On Monday, June 16, the Big Ten Network shouts “O-H-I-O!” with 24 consecutive hours of OhioState programming.
The day will include some of Ohio State’s best performances in 2007-08, including the football team’s victory at Michigan, the Big Ten championship matches in men’s soccer against Indiana and men’s tennis against Illinois, the women’s soccer team’s thrilling shootout victory in the Big Ten Tournament semifinal against Penn State and the volleyball team’s dramatic, come-from-behind win at Minnesota. The 2008 Spring Game also will air in its entirety.
At 9 PM ET, the Big Ten Network will present a special edition of Big Ten Tonight, the Ohio State Year in Review. The show will recap all the great Buckeye moments of the past 12 months.
In addition to the most recent triumphs, the network will also re-air two OhioState victories from the series, Big Ten’s Greatest Games, including the 2003 Fiesta Bowl against Miami that gave the Buckeyes their most recent national championship and the down-to-the-wire men’s basketball game Indiana in 1991 when Jim Jackson scored 30 points.
The schedule also contains three episodes of campus programming produced by OhioState, including the programs 24 OSU, Open Line featuring Gordon Gee and iMix University Mixed Media 4.
Throughout the month of June, the Big Ten Network will air university-themed programming for a full 24 hours devoted to each of the Big Ten member institutions, including Purdue (June 2), Iowa (June 4), Michigan (June 5), Illinois (June 9), Indiana (June 11), Northwestern (June 12), Ohio State (June 16), Penn State (June 18), Wisconsin (June 19), Minnesota (June 23) and Michigan State (June 25).

The Buckeyes rallied from a two-game deficit to shock 22nd-ranked
Minnesota at Williams Arena. Danielle Meyer led the way with 20 kills.
10am The Big Ten’s Greatest Games
Men’s Basketball: Ohio State 97 vs. Indiana 95 (2/17/91)
In a game that saw 16 second-half lead changes, OhioState’s Jim Jackson scored
30 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and assisted on the game-winning basket in a
heart-stopping 97-95 victory.

OhioState won its third-straight Big Ten title in a tightly-contested match
against Illinois. The match came down to No. 3 singles where Steven Moneke

Neither OhioState nor Indiana was able to break through during 110 minutes
of action and the Big Ten Championship was decided in penalty kicks. The Buckeyes
emerged victorious to claim their first conference title since 2000.

Chris Wells ran for a career-high 222 yards and a pair of touchdowns and Vernon
Gholston and the Buckeyes’ defense dominated Michigan en route to a 14-3 victory
in Ann Arbor. The Buckeyes claimed their sixth win against Michigan in seven years.
