W Soccer: Maxwell Named to National Team of the Week – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio Freshman forward Paige Maxwell has been named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com College Team of the Week for her three-goal performance in the Buckeyes’ 3-2 win over Iowa last week.
Maxwell, from Medina, Ohio, scored in the 8th and 50th minutes off assists from Lauren Beachy, staking the Buckeyes to a 2-0 lead. Then after Iowa scored in the 54th minute to close the gap to 2-1, Maxwell scored off her second header of the game 10 minutes later to give the Buckeyes another two-goal lead. The game-winner was the second this season for Maxwell, who leads the team in goals (seven) and points (16) as well as in shots (34) and shots on goal (17).
Maxwell’s third goal tied her with six other Ohio State players who have scored a school-record three times in one game. The list includes
