Buckeyes’ hometown is the No. 1 sports city in the U.S., after the release of a recent analysis by sports fan research firm Scarborough Sports Marketing – PR Newswire
A research study conducted by Scarborough Sports Marketing revealed Columbus, Ohio, home to the Ohio State University and its Buckeye athletics programs, the top sports town in the United States.
Columbus, also a finalist for ESPN’s Titletown, USA during the summer, edged out Boston, Buffalo, Pittsburgh and Green Bay, Wis., as the nation’s highest rated sports area.
Nationwide Arena in downtown Columbus will play host to the 2008 Women’s NCAA Tournament First and Second Rounds March 21 and 23.
