Jamar Butler scored the first 12 points for the Buckeyes, all on 3-pointers, to finish with a career high 6 made 3s on his way to a game-high 26 points.
Ohio State’s 19-game league win streak, which included three wins in the 2007 Big Ten Tournament in Chicago, was ended with the loss. It was the second-longest league win streak in school history.
The loss also snapped a streak of seven-consecutive road wins in conference play, the third longest streak in Ohio State history
Ohio State had won the previous eight games in the Purdue series and the previous eight overall games this season before loss to the Boilermakers
