Several Ohio State teams participated in the student-athlete talent show Tuesday in St. John Arena to help raise money for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Columbus and collect canned goods for the Mid-Ohio FoodBank. The event, organized by the Student-Athlete Advisory Board, raised more than $1,300 and gathered more than seven boxes of food.
Participating teams included football, men’s cross country, men’s lacrosse, men’s track and field, rowing, synchronized swimming, women’s gymnastics, women’s soccer, women’s volleyball and wrestling. The wrestling team’s dancing act won the event.
Ohio State Director of Athletics Gene Smith, football head coach Jim Tressel, former Block-O president Brandon West and Laurie Beth Sweeney from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Columbus served as judges.
