ATLANTA – The Ohio State men’s basketball team worked out today at the Atlanta Hawks’ practice facility as the team nears its 2007 National Semifinal matchup with Georgetown at 6:07 p.m. Saturday at the Georgia Dome.
The Buckeyes will spend the evening at the Final Four welcome event before a late-evening team dinner.
Ohio State’s public practice will be held from 2:10-3 p.m. Friday at the Georgia Dome following a 90-minute interview session with the national media on hand covering the event.
The Buckeyes are participating in their ninth Final Four in program history and first since 1968. Ohio State has qualified for 20 NCAA tournaments all-time.
Thad Matta has taken all six eligible teams to NCAA tournament competition in his seven year head coaching career. He as never failed to win at least one game in the tournament and has taken two teams to the Elite Eight. This is his first Final Four as a head coach.
