Synchronized Swimming Takes Second in Team Semifinal – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – With one more day of competition remaining at the 2007 U.S. Collegiate National Championships, the Ohio State synchronized swimming team concluded semifinal team action Friday at Balfour Natatorium in Norton, Mass. The Scarlet team finished second with a 97.000, just five-tenths of a point behind leader Stanford. The OSU Gray team was sixth, scoring 90.333 points.
In the figures and elements competitions, three Buckeyes ranked in the Top 10. In B figures, Jackie Mundy (Corona, Calif.) was third with a mark of 71.619. Barbara Nesbitt (Riverside, Calif.) and Caitlin Stewart (Huntington Beach, Calif.) finished third (82.79197) and ninth (80.80942), respectively in A elements.
The trio, duet, solo and team finals will wrap up the final day of the championships Saturday, which will decide the overall team champion.
