COLUMBUS, Ohio – Bill Jones, Ohio State assistant athletics director for ticketing, announced Sunday the policy for obtaining tickets for the Ohio State men’s basketball team’s NCAA tournament Final Four appearance in Atlanta, Ga., Saturday.
Ohio State students and faculty/staff need to pick up a lottery ticket at the Ohio State Athletics Ticket Office, located in the southeast corner of the Jerome Schottenstein Center, tomorrow Monday, March 26. Only those students and faculty/staff members who purchased season tickets will have the opportunity to participate in the lottery. Winning lottery numbers will be posted on ohiostatebuckeyes.com at 8 p.m. Monday. The winning numbers also will be posted on the Schottenstein Center rotunda doors.
The total cost will be $164, which includes both semifinal games Saturday, March 31 and the national championship game Monday, April 2. Payment will be due Tuesday, March 27 by 5 p.m. at the Athletics Ticket Office. There will be a limit of one ticket per student (two if married, proof of marriage required) and two tickets per faculty/staff member.
Student tickets will be partly subsidized by the Department of Athletics to support student travel to Atlanta to root on the Buckeyes in their quest for the 2007 National Championship.
PSL and public season ticket holders will need to go online to www.ohiostatebuckeyes.com to enter a lottery for tickets. To enter the lottery you will need to go through the following steps. Click on “TICKETS” and then click on “SEASON RENEWALS.” You will access your account using your account number, then click on the link “2007 NCAA Final Four Ticket Application.” Next to the item “Tickets To NCAA Final Four- Limit 2” please list a quantity of 1 or 2, Click “Add to Cart”, Click “Check Out” and then submit payment information. If successful in the lottery, your credit card will be charged. Ticket prices will be $164, limit two per season ticket holder. Tickets will be picked up in Atlanta at the Sheraton Atlanta or the Georgia Dome. Specific times and dates will be available this week.
