Buckeyes Spend Day Preparing for NCAA Opener – Ohio State Buckeyes

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Ohio State men’s basketball team practiced twice Thursday in preparation for its 2007 NCAA Tournament opener Thursday against Central Connecticut State University (7:10 p.m./CBS).
The Buckeyes practiced privately before an open practice Wednesday afternoon at Kentucky’s Rupp Arena, site of NCAA First and Second Round competitions Thursday and Saturday.
Coaches and student-athletes from the eight schools at the Lexington site participated in media interviews either before or after practices open to the public.
Ohio State (30-3) is the ranked No. 1 in both the Associated Press and USA Today/ESPN coaches’ polls entering the tournament. The Buckeyes are the No. 1 seed in the South Region.
CCSU (22-11) is the No. 16 seed in the South.
