Ohio State Men’s Gymnastics Announces 2007 Captains – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Miles Avery, Ohio State men’s gymnastics head coach, announced seniors Kristopher Kline (Westerville, Ohio/Hocking Valley Gymnastics) and Nicholaus Searcy (Dublin, Ohio/Hocking Valley Gymnastics) the 2007 captains after a team vote before the Varsity Exhibition Saturday. The event brought to close the squad’s preseason schedule.
The Varsity Exhibition welcomed Buckeye gymnastic alumni back to the Steelwood Training Facility. In all, 17 former Buckeyes attended the exhibition including 10-time All-American and three time Olympian Blaine Wilson (1994-97), 10-time All-American Michael Racanelli (1987-90)and acting judge at the exhibition Andy Zembower (1975-76).
“This exhibition is mainly for our alumni,” Avery said. “It is to say thank you to our alums and show them we are going to do a good job and carry on the Ohio State tradition.”
In addition, Kerry Adderly (2002-05), Michael Canales (1996-99), Adam Elliott (1999-2001), Ronald Ferris (2003-05), Dick Huntwork (2000-03), Daren Lynch (1998-2001), Ohio State men’s gymnastics volunteer assistant coach Randy Monahan (2002-05), Michael Morgan (1996, 1998-2000), Jamie Natalie (1998-2001), Earnest Nelson (1999-2001), Neil Niemi (1994-97), Michael Serra (1988), Drew Spencer (1993-95) and Ohio State men’s gymnastics assistant coach Doug Stibel (1996-99). Also in attendance were family and friends of the program and members of the Ohio State women’s gymnastics team.
