Bethia Woolf Hired as Ohio State’s Novice Rowing Coach – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Bethia Woolf has been hired as the novice rowing coach for the Ohio State rowing team, head coach Andy Teitelbaum announced Monday. Woolf will be in charge of recruiting novice rowers and coaching the first and second novice eight boats.
Woolf most recently was a member of the coaching staff at Smith College where she was the novice coach last season and the assistant varsity coach during 2004-05. She also coached at the U.S. Rowing Junior Women’s Development Team Camp in 2006.
Woolf received her first class bachelor’s degree at Newcastle University in 1996 and was a member of the rowing team from 1993-96. She went on to earn her post graduate certification of education from Oxford University while rowing in the Blue Boat in the Women’s Varsity Boat Race during in 2000. She then received her master’s degree in Exercise and Sports Studies from Smith College in May 2006.
Woolf also was a member of the Thames Rowing Club from 1996-2003, winning the 1997 and 2001 Women’s Henley and medaling in three national championships (1997, 1999, 2001).
